Benefits of Surah Yasin

This surah is ‘Makki’ and it has 84 verses. It is commonly known that Surah Yaseen is the “heart” of the Quran. Why is it known as the heart of the Quran? In our bodies, the heart is considered to be the most important organ. It supplies the entire body with blood to keep us functioning. Without the heart, the body cannot live. It is to emphasize the great importance of Surah Yaseen that it is called the “heart” of the Quran.

 It is written in the commentary of Majma’ul Bayan whoever recites surah Yaseen solely for seeking the pleasure of Allah (s.w.t.): All his sins will be forgiven and he will be given the reward equal to the reward of reciting the whole Qur’an 12 times. 

If this surah is recited near a person on his deathbed, then for each letter recited, 12 angels are sent to pray for his forgiveness and they remain even when the soul is being taken by the Angel of Death. The angels also take part in his funeral rites.

If recited near a person who is in Sakarat-ul-Mawt (on the verge of passing away), then an angel brings a drink for the dying person from Jannah and as he drinks of it, he feels greatly eased.

In another narration, this surah has been described as the key to all good in this life and in the hereafter and a safety from all evil in this life and in the hereafter. Needs are fulfilled if asked after the recitation of this surah and the reward for its recitation is also compared to performing twenty hajj pilgrimages.

Drinking the water in which this surah has been dissolved cures one of a thousand types of illnesses. The Holy Prophet  said that everything has its heart and the heart of the Holy Qur’an is surah Yaseen. He  also said that if this surah is recited in a graveyard then all punishment is lifted, for that day, from all the graves and the reciter gets the reward equal to the sum of all the good actions performed by all those who are buried in that graveyard.
For those who recite this surah, the heart of the holy Quran, after sunset, Allah would post 1000 angels 

who would protect them from the mischief of the accursed Shaytan and his agents throughout the night and keep him safe from every calamity; if this surah is recited in the morning he would be throughout the day among those whom Allah protects from calamities and gives enough livelihood.

For him who recites this surah Allah would appoint 30,000 angels to seek forgiveness for him at the time of his funeral bath and accompany him upto the grave; and when he is laid down in the grave these angels pray salat and invoke Allah to keep him safe from the squeezing of the grave; and a light comes out of from his grave till the day of judgement, when he comes out of the grave to go for final reckoning, these angels would be with him to help at the time of crossing the sirat and mizan. He would be in the company of prophets and messengers.

No trouble, nor any grief would sadden him. He would not be among those who would be screaming for help.

At that time Allah would say: “O My servant, intercede on behalf of whomever you like; O My servant, whatever you ask I would give you.” He would not be questioned. He would be given a clean document of deliverance, and be among the companions of the Holy Prophet. He would have no sin written in his record of deeds.

Whoever recites this surah Allah would give him reward of reciting the whole Quran twelve times.If this surah is recited at the time of dying, Allah appoints angels ten times more in number than its verses, who stand in a rowbefore him, duty-bound to seek forgiveness for him, accompany his corpse, pray salat, till the body is laid down in the grave.

If a sick person recites this surah or it is recited for him the time of death, Izrail does not take away his soul unless and until he is given the water of paradise to drink; in the grave he would have peace and tranquillity, and would be happy and glad in paradise.

Whose writes this surah on a piece of paper, wears it around the neck would remain safe from every calamity and illness.

Whoso writes this surah with rose water and saffron on a china plate, washes it with clean water and drinks it every day for 7 consecutive days (repeating the procedure every time) he would keep in memory whatever he hears; would have an upper hand over whomsoever he debates; would enjoy respect among the people. If a mother drinks this water she would have enough milk to feed her child.

Transliteration: Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. 1.Yaa-Seeen 2.Wal-Qur-aanil-Hakeem 3.Innaka laminal mursaleen 4.'Alaa Siraatim Mustaqeem 5.Tanzeelal 'Azeezir Raheem 6.Litunzira qawmam maaa unzira aabaaa'uhum fahum ghaafiloon 7.Laqad haqqal qawlu 'alaaa aksarihim fahum la yu'minoon 8.Innaa ja'alnaa feee a'naaqihim aghlaalan fahiya ilal
Translation: In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful 1. Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 2. By the Qur'an, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs), 3. Truly, you (O Muhammad ) are one of the Messengers, 4. On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 5. (This is) a Revelation sent down by the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 6. In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 7. Indeed the Word (of punishment) has proved true against most of them, so they will not believe. 8. Verily! We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to chins,

Transliteration: azqaani fahum muqmahoon 9.Wa ja'alnaa mim baini aydeehim saddanw-wa min khalfihim saddan fa aghshay naahum fahum laa yubsiroon 10.Wa sawaaa'un 'alayhim 'a-anzartahum am lam tunzirhum laa yu'minoon 11.Innamaa tunziru manit taba 'az-Zikra wa khashiyar Rahmaana bilghaib, fabashshirhu bimaghfiratinw-wa ajrin kareem 12.Innaa Nahnu nuhyil mawtaa wa naktubu maa qaddamoo wa aasaarahum; wa kulla
Translation: so that their heads are forced up. 9. And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see. 10. It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe. 11. You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Qur'an), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). 12. Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things 

Transliteration: shay'in ahsainaahu feee Imaamim Mubeen 13.Wadrib lahum masalan Ashaabal Qaryatih; iz jaaa'ahal mursaloon 14.Iz arsalnaaa ilaihimusnaini fakazzaboohumaa fa'azzaznaa bisaalisin faqaalooo innaaa ilaikum mursaloon 15.Qaaloo maaa antum illaa basharum mislunaa wa maaa anzalar Rahmaanu min shai'in in antum illaa takziboon 16.Qaaloo Rabbunaa ya'lamu innaaa ilaikum lamursaloon 17.Wa maa
Translation: We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book.13. And put forward to them a similitude; the (story of the) dwellers of the town, [It is said that the town was Antioch (Antakiya)], when there came Messengers to them. 14. When We sent to them two Messengers, they belied them both, so We reinforced them with a third, and they said: "Verily! We have been sent to you as Messengers." 15. They (people of the town) said: "You are only human beings like ourselves, and the Most Beneficent (Allah) has revealed nothing, you are only telling lies." 16. The Messengers said: "Our Lord knows that we have been sent as Messengers to you,

Transliteration: 'alainaaa illal balaaghul mubeen 18.Qaaloo innaa tataiyarnaa bikum la'il-lam tantahoo lanar jumannakum wa la-yamassan nakum minna 'azaabun aleem 19.Qaaloo taaa'irukum ma'akum; a'in zukkirtum; bal antum qawmum musrifoon 20.Wa jaaa'a min aqsal madeenati rajuluny yas'aa qaala yaa qawmit tabi'ul mursaleen 21.Ittabi'oo mal-laa yas'alukum ajranw-wa hum muhtadoon 22.
Translation: 17. "And our duty is only to convey plainly (the Message)." 18. They (people) said: "For us, we see an evil omen from you, if you cease not, we will surely stone you, and a painful torment will touch you from us." 19. They (Messengers) said: "Your evil omens be with you! (Do you call it "evil omen") because you are admonished? Nay, but you are a people Musrifun (transgressing all bounds by committing all kinds of great sins, and by disobeying Allah). 20. And there came running from the farthest part of the town, a man, saying: "O my people! Obey the Messengers; 21. "Obey those who ask no wages of you (for themselves), and who are rightly guided.

  Transliteration: Wa maa liya laaa a'budul lazee fataranee wa ilaihi turja'oon 23.'A-attakhizu min dooniheee aalihata iny-yuridnir Rahmaanu bidurril-la tughni 'annee shafaa 'antuhum shai 'awn-wa laa yunqizoon 24.Innee izal-lafee dalaa-lim-mubeen 25.Inneee aamantu bi Rabbikum fasma'oon 26.Qeelad khulil Jannnah qaala yaa laita qawmee ya'lamoon 27.Bimaa ghafara lee Rabbee wa ja'alanee minal mukrameen
Translation: 22. "And why should I not worship Him (Allah Alone) Who has created me and to Whom you shall be returned. 23. "Shall I take besides Him aliha (gods), if the Most Beneficent (Allah) intends me any harm, their intercession will be of no use for me whatsoever, nor can they save me? 24. "Then verily, I should be in plain error. 25. Verily! I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me!" 26. It was said (to him when the disbelievers killed him): "Enter Paradise." He said: "Would that my people knew! 27. "That my Lord (Allah) has forgiven me, and made me of the honoured ones!"

 Transliteration: 28.Wa maaa anzalnaa 'alaa qawmihee mim ba'adihee min jundim minas-samaaa'i wa maa kunnaa munzileen 29.In kaanat illaa saihatanw waahidatan fa-izaa hum khaamidoon 30.Yaa hasratan 'alal 'ibaad; maa yaateehim mir Rasoolin illaa kaanoo bihee yastahzi 'oon 31.Alam yaraw kam ahlak naa qablahum minal qurooni annahum ilaihim laa yarji'oon 32.Wa in kullul
Translation: 28. And We sent not against his people after him a host from heaven, nor do We send (such a thing). 29. It was but one Saihah (shout, etc.) and lo! They (all) were silent (dead-destroyed). 30. Alas for mankind! There never came a Messenger to them but they used to mock at him. 31. Do they not see how many of the generations We have destroyed before them? Verily, they will not return to them.  32. And surely, all, 

Transliteration: lammaa jamee'ul-ladainaa muhdaroon 33.Wa Aayatul lahumul ardul maitatu ahyainaahaa wa akhrajnaa minhaa habban faminhu yaakuloon 34.Wa ja'alnaa feehaa jannaatim min nakheelinw wa a'naabinw wa fajjarnaa feeha minal 'uyoon 35.Liyaakuloo min samarihee wa maa 'amilat-hu aideehim; afalaa yashkuroon 36.Subhaanal lazee khalaqal azwaaja kullahaa mimmaa tumbitul ardu wa min anfusihim
Translation: everyone of them will be brought before Us. 33. And a sign for them is the dead  land. We gave it life, and We brought forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof. 34. And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. 35. So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not.

Transliteration: wa mimmaa laa ya'lamoon 37.Wa Aayatul lahumul laylu naslakhu minhun nahaara fa-izaa hum muzlimoon 38.Wash-shamsu tajree limustaqarril lahaa; zaalika taqdeerul 'Azeezil Aleem 39.Walqamara qaddarnaahu manaazila hattaa 'aada kal'ur joonil qadeem 40.Lash shamsu yambaghee lahaaa an tudrikal qamara wa lal lailu saabiqun nahaar; wa kullun fee falaki yasbahoon 41.Wa Aayatul lahum annaa hamalnaa zurriyaatahum fil fulkil
Translation: Will they not, then, give thanks? 36. Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. 37. And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 38. And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 39. And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk. 40. It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit. 41. And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden 

Transliteration: mashhoon 42.Wa khalaqnaa lahum mim-mislihee maa yarkaboon 43.Wa in nashaa nughriqhum falaa sareekha lahum wa laa hum yunqazoon 44.Illaa rahmatam minnaa wa mataa'an ilaa heen 45.Wa izaa qeela lahumuttaqoo maa baina aideekum wa maa khalfakum la'allakum turhamoon 46.Wa maa taateehim min aaiyatim min aaitaati Rabbihim illaa kaanoo 'anhaa mu'rideen 47.Wa izaa qeela lahum anfiqoo mimmaa razaqakumul laahu qaala
Translation: ship [of Nuh (Noah)]. 42. And We have created for them of the like thereunto, so on them they ride. 43. And if We will, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout (or helper) for them (to hear their cry for help) nor will they be saved. 44. Unless it be a mercy from Us, and as an enjoyment for a while. 45. And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds). 46. And never came an Ayah from among the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it. 47. And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you,

Transliteration: l lazeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanooo anut'imu mal-law 48.yashaaa'ul laahu at'amahooo in antum illaa fee dalaalim mubeen 49.Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa'du in kuntum saadiqeen 50.Maa yanzuroona illaa saihatanw waahidatan taa khuzuhum wa hum yakhissimoon 51.Falaa yastatee'oona taw siyatanw-wa laaa ilaaa ahlihim yarji'oon 52.Wa nufikha fis-soori faizaa hum minal ajdaasi ilaa Rabbihim yansiloon 53.Qaaloo
Translation: " those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." 48. And they say: "When will this promise (i.e. Resurrection) be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 49. They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! 50. Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 51. And the Trumpet will be blown (i.e. the second blowing) and behold! From the graves they will come out quickly to their Lord. 52. They will say:

Transliteration: yaa wailanaa mam ba'asanaa mim marqadinaa; haaza maa wa'adar Rahmanu wa sadaqal mursaloon 54.In kaanat illaa saihatanw waahidatan fa-izaa hum jamee'ul ladainaa muhdaroon 55.Fal-Yawma laa tuzlamu nafsun shai'anw-wa laa tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta'maloon 56.Inna Ashaabal jannatil Yawma fee shughulin faakihoon 57.Hum wa azwaajuhum fee zilaalin 'alal araaa'iki muttaki'oon 58.
Translation: "Woe to us! Who has raised us up from our place of sleep." (It will be said to them): "This is what the Most Beneficent (Allah) had promised, and the Messengers spoke truth!" 53. It will be but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), so behold! They will all be brought up before Us! 54. This Day (Day of Resurrection), none will be wronged in anything, nor will you be requited anything except that which you used to do. 55. Verily, the dwellers of the Paradise, that Day, will be busy in joyful things. 56. They and their wives will be in pleasant shade, reclining on thrones.

 Transliteration: Lahum feehaa faakiha tunw-wa lahum maa yadda'oon 59.Salaamun qawlam mir Rabbir Raheem 60.Wamtaazul Yawma ayyuhal mujrimoon 61.Alam a'had ilaikum yaa Baneee aadama al-laa ta'budush Shaitaana innahoo lakum 'aduwwum mubeen 62.Wa ani'budoonee; haazaa Siratum Mustaqeem 63.Wa laqad adalla minkum jibillan kaseeraa; afalam takoonoo ta'qiloon 64.Haazihee Jahannamul latee kuntum too'adoon 65.
Translation: 57. They will have therein fruits (of all kinds) and all that they ask for. 58. (It will be said to them): Salamun (peace be on you), a Word from the Lord (Allah), Most Merciful. 59. (It will be said): "And O you Al-Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in the Islamic Monotheism, wicked evil ones, etc.)! Get you apart this Day (from the believers). 60. Did I not ordain for you, O Children of Adam, that you should not worship Shaitan (Satan). Verily, he is a plain enemy to you. 61. And that you should worship Me [Alone Islamic Monotheism, and set up not rivals, associate-gods with Me]. That is a Straight Path. 62. And indeed he (Satan) did lead astray a great multitude of you. Did you not, then, understand? 63. This is Hell which you were promised!

Transliteration: Islawhal Yawma bimaa kuntum takfuroon 66.Al-Yawma nakhtimu 'alaaa afwaahihim wa tukallimunaaa aideehim wa tashhadu arjuluhum bimaa kaanoo yaksiboon 67.Wa law nashaaa'u lata masna 'alaaa aiyunihim fasta baqus-siraata fa-annaa yubsiroon  68.Wa law nashaaa'u lamasakhnaahum 'alaa makaanatihim famas-tataa'oo mudiyyanw-wa laa yarji'oon 69.Wa man nu 'ammirhu nunakkishu fil-khalq; afalaa ya'qiloon 70.
Translation: 69.64. Burn therein this Day, for that you used to disbelieve. 65. This Day, We shall seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their legs will bear witness to what they used to earn. (It is said that one's left thigh will be the first to bear the witness). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 22, Page 24] 66. And if it had been Our Will, We would surely have wiped out (blinded) their eyes, so that they would struggle for the Path, how then would they see? 67. And if it had been Our Will, We could have transformed them (into animals or lifeless objects) in their places. Then they should have been unable to go forward (move about) nor they could have turned back. [As it happened with the Jews see Verse 7:166 The Qur'an]. 68. And he whom We grant long life, We reverse him in creation (weakness after strength). Will they not then understand?

Transliteration: Wa maa 'allamnaahush shi'ra wa maa yambaghee lah; in huwa illaa zikrunw-wa Qur-aanum mubeen 71.Liyunzira man kaana haiyanw-wa yahiqqal qawlu 'alal-kaafireen 72.Awalam yaraw annaa khalaqnaa lahum mimmaa 'amilat aideenaaa an'aaman fahum lahaa maalikoon 73.Wa zallalnaahaa lahum faminhaa rakoobuhum wa minhaa yaakuloon 74.Wa lahum feehaa manaa fi'u wa mashaarib; afalaa yashkuroon 75.Wattakhazoo min doonil
Translation: 69. And We have not taught him (Muhammad ) poetry, nor is it meet for him. This is only a Reminder and a plain Qur'an. 70. That he or it (Muhammad  or the Qur'an) may give warning to him who is living (a healthy minded the believer), and that Word (charge) may be justified against the disbelievers (dead, as they reject the warnings). 71. Do they not see that We have created for them of what Our Hands have created, the cattle, so that they are their owners. 72. And We have subdued them unto them so that some of them they have for riding and some they eat. 73. And they have (other) benefits from them (besides), and they get (milk) to drink, will they not then be grateful? 74. And they have taken besides Allah aliha (gods), hoping that,

Transliteration: laahi aalihatal la'allahum yunsaroon 76.Laa yastatee'oona nasrahum wa hum lahum jundum muhdaroon 77.Falaa yahzunka qawluhum; innaa na'lamu maa yusirroona wa maa yu'linoon 78.Awalam yaral insaanu aanaa khalaqnaahu min nutfatin fa-izaa huwa khaseemum mubeen 79.Wa daraba lanaa maslanw-wa nasiya khalqahoo qaala mai-yuhyil'izaama wa hiya rameen 80.Qul yuh yeehal lazeee ansha ahaaa awwala marrah; wa Huwa bikulli khalqin
Translation: They might be helped (by those so called gods).75. They cannot help them, but they will be brought forward as a troop against those who worshipped them (at the time of Reckoning). 76. So let not their speech, then, grieve you (O Muhammad ). Verily, We know what they conceal and what they reveal. 77. Does not man see that We have created him from Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge semen drops). Yet behold! He (stands forth) as an open opponent. 78.  And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones when they have rotted away and became dust?"  79. Say: (O Muhammad ) "He will give life to them Who created them for the first time! And He is the All-Knower of every creation!" 80.

Transliteration: 'Aleem 81.Allazee ja'ala lakum minash shajaril akhdari naaran fa-izaaa antum minhu tooqidoon 82.Awa laisal lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda biqaadirin 'alaaa ai-yakhluqa mislahum; balaa wa Huwal Khallaaqul 'Aleem 83.Innamaa amruhooo izaaa araada shai'an ai-yaqoola lahoo kun fa-yakoon 84.Fa Subhaanal lazee biyadihee malakootu kulli shai-inw-wa ilaihi turja'oon.
 Translation: He, Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! You kindle therewith. 81. Is not He, Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them? Yes, indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator. 82. Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, "Be!" and it is! 83. So Glorified is He and Exalted above all that they associate with Him, and in Whose Hands is the dominion of all things, and to Him you shall be returned.

Benefits of Surah Ar-Rahman

It is commendable to recite this surah after tahajjud salat as many times as there is: FABI-AYYI AALAA-I RABBIKUMA TU KADHDHIBAAN [Then which of the bounties of your Lord will you both believe?]

Say LAA BI SHAY-IN MIN AALAA-IKA RABBEE UKADHDHIBU [None of the bounties of my Lord, I believe.]

Do not miss recitation of this sruah, recite it frequently because on the day of judgement it would take the form of a human being and stand nearest to the almighty Lord and point out, when commanded, those who had recited it in their life of the world. Their faces then would shine bright. Allah would ask them to recommend for salvation whomever they like, then they would go into paradise to dwell wherever they like.

Only the hypocrites are averse to this surah. If after reciting this surah the reciter dies, he dies the death of a martyr. Allah would have pity on a reciter if he is old and weak and bestow bounties on him.

Whoever writes this surah on paper and wears around the neck as a tawiz, Allah would make his difficult tasks easy, and if he is having sore eyes he would be fully cured; he would remain in peace, safety and protection.

If its written text is hanged in the house the dwellers of the house would remain safe from harmful animals.

Transliteration: Bismi Allahi arrahmani arraheem: Arrahman.  AAallama alqur-an. Khalaqa al-insan. AAallamahu albayan.  Ashshamsu walqamaru bihusban. Wannajmu washshajaru yasjudan. Wassamaa rafaAAahawawadaAAa almeezan.  Alla tatghaw fee almeezan.  Waaqeemoo alwazna bilqisti walatukhsiroo almeezan.  Wal-arda wadaAAahalil-anam.  Feeha fakihatun,

Translation: In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful. The Most Beneficent (Allah)! Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). He created man. He taught him eloquent speech. The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.). And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. And the earth He has put for the creatures.

Transliteration: Wannakhluthatu al-akmam.  Walhabbu thoo alAAasfiwarrayhan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Khalaqa al-insana min salsalinkalfakhkhar.  Wakhalaqa aljanna min marijinmin nar.  Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Rabbu almashriqayni warabbu almaghribayn. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Maraja albahrayni yaltaqiyan.  Baynahuma barzakhun la yabghiyan.  Fabi-ayyi ala-i,

Translation: Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. Then,

Transliteration: rabbikumatukaththiban.  Yakhruju minhuma allu/luo walmarjan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban.  Walahu aljawari almunshaatufee albahri kal-aAAlam. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Kullu man AAalayha fan. Wayabqa wajhu rabbika thooaljalali wal-ikram. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Yas-aluhu man fee assamawatiwal-ardi kulla yawmin huwa fee sha/n. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban.

Translation: which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Out of them both come out pearl and coral. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish. And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will abide forever. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Whosoever is in the heavens and on earth begs of Him (its needs from Him). Every day He has a matter to bring forth (such as giving honour to some, disgrace to some, life to some, death to some, etc.)! Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?

Transliteration: Sanafrughu lakum ayyuha aththaqalan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Ya maAAshara aljinni wal-insiini istataAAtum an tanfuthoo min aqtari assamawatiwal-ardi fanfuthoo la tanfuthoonailla bisultan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Yursalu AAalaykuma shuwathunmin narin wanuhasun fala tantasiran. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Fa-itha inshaqqati assamaofakanat wardatan,

Translation: We shall attend to you, O you two classes (jinns and men)! Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?  O assembly of jinns and men! If you have power to pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass (them)! But you will never be able to pass them, except with authority (from Allah)! Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? There will be sent against you both, smokeless flames of fire and (molten) brass, and you will not be able to defend yourselves. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Then when the heaven is rent asunder, and it becomes rosy or red,

Transliteration: kaddihan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Fayawma-ithin la yus-alu AAan thanbihiinsun wala jan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. YuAArafu almujrimoona biseemahumfayu/khathu binnawasee wal-aqdam. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Hathihi jahannamu allatee yukaththibubiha almujrimoon.  Yatoofoona baynaha wabayna hameeminan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban.

Translation: like red-oil, or red hide. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? So on that Day no question will be asked of man or jinn as to his sin, (because they have already been known from their faces either white or black). Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? The Mujrimun (polytheists,  criminals, sinners, etc.) will be known by their marks (black faces), and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? This is Hell which the Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, sinners, etc.) denied. They will go between it (Hell) and the boiling hot water! Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? But for him who [the true believer of Islamic Monotheism who performs all the duties ordained by Allah and His Messenger Muhammad SAW , and keeps away (abstain) from all kinds of sin and evil deeds prohibited in Islam and] fears the standing before his Lord,

Transliteration: Waliman khafa maqama Rabbihijannatan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Thawata afnan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Feehima AAaynani tajriyan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Feehima min kulli fakihatinzawjan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Muttaki-eena AAala furushin bata-inuhamin istabraqin wajana aljannatayni dan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Feehinna qasiratu attarfilam yatmithhunna 

Translation: there will be two Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? With spreading branches; Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? In them (both) will be two springs flowing (free) Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna ,

Transliteration: insun qablahum wala jan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Kaannahunna alyaqootu walmarjan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Hal jazao al-ihsani illaal-ihsan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Wamin doonihima jannatan.  Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Mudhammatan Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Feehima AAaynani naddakhatan. Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththiban. Feehima fakihatun,

Translation: (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Is there any reward for good other than good? Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Dark green (in colour). Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? In them (both) will be two springs gushing forth water.Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? In them (both) will be fruits,

Translation: And date- palms and pomegranates. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Therein (gardens) will be fair (wives) good and beautiful; Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Houris (beautiful, fair females) restrained in pavilions; Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? Blessed be the Name of your Lord (Allah), the Owner of Majesty and Honour.

Benefits of Surah Al-Muzzammil

There are 20 ayaat in this surah and it was revealed in Makkah. Some scholars say that it was revealed in Madinah. It is narrated from the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) that a person who recites this surah will never face bad times. The person who recites it in the Isha or Tahajjud prayers always remains pure of heart and even dies while he is in a pure state.

Who recites this surah properly will get a chance to meet the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) and if he prays for something from Allah (s.w.t.) he will get it. Reciting surah al-Muzammil a hundred times on Thursday night leads to the forgiving of a hundred major sins and procures a hundred rewards. Recitation of this surah protects one from insanity and from being a slave to people.

Transliteration: Bismi Allahi arrahmani arraheem: Ya ayyuha almuzzammil. Qumi allayla illa qaleela. Nisfahu awi onqus minhu qaleela. Aw zid AAalayhi warattili alqur-anatarteela. Inna sanulqee AAalayka qawlan thaqeela. Inna nashi-ata allayli hiya ashaddu wat-an

  Translation: In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful O you wrapped in garments (i.e. Prophet Muhammad SAW)! Stand (to pray) all night, except a little. Half of it, or a little less than that, Or a little more; and recite the Quran (aloud) in a slow, (pleasant tone and) style. Verily, We shall send down to you a weighty Word (i.e. obligations, legal laws, etc.). Verily, the rising by night (for Tahajjud prayer) is very hard and most potent

Transliteration: waaqwamu qeela. Inna laka fee annahari sabhan,taweela. Wathkuri isma rabbikawatabattal ilayhi tabteela. Rabbu almashriqi walmaghribi lailaha illa huwa fattakhithhu wakeela. Wasbir AAala mayaqooloona wahjurhum hajran jameela. Watharnee walmukaththibeenaolee annaAAmati wamahhilhum qaleela.

Translation: And good for governing (the soul), and most suitable for (understanding) the Word (of Allah). Verily, there is for you by day prolonged occupation with ordinary duties, And remember the Name of your Lord and devote yourself    to Him with a complete devotion. (He Alone is) the Lord of the east and the   west, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). So   take Him Alone as Wakil (Disposer of your affairs). And be patient (O Muhammad SAW) with what they say, and keep away from them in a good   way. And leave Me Alone to deal with the beliers (those who deny My Verses, etc.), and those who are in possession of good things of life. And   give them respite for a little while. 

Transliteration: Inna ladayna ankalan wajaheema. WataAAaman tha ghussatinwaAAathaban aleema. Yawma tarjufu al-ardu waljibaluwakanati aljibalu katheeban maheela. Inna arsalna ilaykum rasoolanshahidan AAalaykum kama arsalna ilafirAAawna rasoola. FaAAasa firAAawnu arrasoolafaakhathnahu 

Translation: Verily, with Us are fetters (to bind them), and a raging Fire. And a food that chokes, and a painful torment.  On the Day, when the earth and, The mountains will be in violent shake, and the mountains will be a heap of sand poured out and flowing down. Verily, We have sent to you (O men) a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) to be a witness over you, as We did send a Messenger [Musa (Moses)] to Fir'aun (Pharaoh). But Fir'aun (Pharaoh) disobeyed the Messenger [Musa (Moses)], so We seized him with a severe punishment.

Transliteration: akhthan wabeela.  Fakayfa tattaqoona in kafartum yawmanyajAAalu alwildana sheeba. Assamao munfatirunbihi kana waAAduhu mafAAoola. Inna hathihi,athkiratun famanshaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi sabeela. Inna rabbaka yaAAlamu annaka taqoomu adnamin thuluthayi allayli wanisfahu 

Translation: Then how can you avoid the punishment, if you disbelieve, on a Day that will make the children grey-headed (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)? Whereon the heaven will be cleft asunder? His Promise is certainly to be accomplished. Verily, this is an admonition,Therefore whosoever will, let him take a Path to His Lord! Verily, your Lord knows that you do stand (to pray at night) a little less than two-thirds of the night, or half the night, 

Transliteration: wathuluthahu wata-ifatunmina allatheena maAAaka wallahu yuqaddiruallayla wannahara AAalima an lan tuhsoohufataba AAalaykum faqraoo ma tayassara minaalqur-ani AAalima an sayakoonu minkum marda waakharoona,yadriboona fee al-ardi yabtaghoona min 

Translation: or a third of the night, and so do a party of those with you, And Allah measures the night and the day. He knows that you are unable to pray the whole night, so He has turned to you (in mercy). So, recite you of the Quran as much as may be easy for you. He knows that there will be some among you sick, Others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah's Bounty; 

Transliteration: fadliAllahi waakharoona yuqatiloona fee sabeeliAllahi faqraoo ma tayassara minhu waaqeemooassalata waatoo azzakatawaaqridoo Allaha qardan hasanan wamatuqaddimoo li-anfusikum min khayrin tajidoohu AAinda Allahihuwa khayran waaAAthama ajran wastaghfirooAllaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheem.
Translation: yet others fighting in Allah's Cause. So recite as much of the Quran as may be easy (for you), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat, and lend to Allah a goodly loan, and whatever good you send before you for yourselves, (i.e. Nawafil non-obligatory acts of worship: prayers, charity, fasting, Hajj and 'Umrah, etc.), you will certainly find it with Allah, better and greater in reward. And seek Forgiveness of Allah. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.

Benefits of Surat Al-Fatiha

Surah Fatiha is called the 'Opening' is the 1st Surah (Chapter) of Quran. It is called, Umm Al-Kitab (the Mother of the Book), according to the majority of the scholars. There are seven verses in this Surah. It is said, that Surah is both Makki and Madani. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that whoever recites Surah Fatiha daily, He will get the reward for reciting (2/3) of of the whole Quran. There are countless benefits of Surah Fatiha,

Surah Fatiha is a cure of every illness. Whoever cant be cured by surah Fatihah, then there is no cure for that person. In the same narration it is written that if this surah is recited 101 times on any part of the body that is paining, the pain will surely go away. Read this Surah 41 times, if your eyes hurt. The recitor's of this Surah poverty is removed and debt will be cleared miraculously. the recitor's disease will be cured and his/her enemy will become fearful.

The Prophet Muhammad (saw) said “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will receive a hasanah(good deed) from it, and the hasanah is multiplied by ten. I do not say that Alif-Laam-Meem is a letter , rather Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter, and Meem is a letter.”

Abu Hurairah (radiAllahu anhu) reported that when Allah’s Messenger (saw) asked Ubayy ibn Ka’ab (radiAllahu anhu), ”Do you want me to teach you a Surah the like of which has not been revealed in the Torah, the Injeel, the Zabur, nor the Qur’an?”, and also asked what he recited in his prayers. He replied Umm-ul Qur’an (Surah Fatihah) the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) proclaimed, ’By Him in whose dominion my soul is, nothing like it has been revealed in the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, or the Qur’an and it is seven of the oft-repeated verses in the Mighty Qur’an which I have been given’

Anas (radhi Allah anhu) said: “When you recite Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Al-Ikhlas upon lying on your bed, you will be safeguarded and should become fearless of every thing except death.”

Transliteration: Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.  'Al-Hamdu lillahi Rabbil-'Aalamin. 'Ar-Rahmaanir-Rahiim. Maaliki Yawmid-Diin;. 'Iyyaaka na'-budu wa 'iyyaaka nasta-'iin. 'Ihdinas-Siraatal-Mustaqiim. Siraatal-laziina 'an-'amta 'alay him-Gayril-magzuubi 'alay him wa laz-zaaalliin. Aameen.

Translation: In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. [All] praise is [due] to Allah , Lord of the worlds - The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path - The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

Benefits of Ayatul Kursi

 Ayatul Kursi is verse, 255 of Surah Al-Baqarah and most beautiful ayat of the Qur'an. Surah Baqarah is the leader of the Qur'an and Ayatul Kursi is the leader of Surah Baqarah. In Ayatul Kursi there are 50 words and for each word there are 50 blessings and good in it. It was narrated that Abu Umamah said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “Whoever recites Ayat Al-Kursi immediately after each prescribed Prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.

The Holy prophet Muhammad (saw) said: whoever recites the first 4 ayats of Surae Baqarah, then Ayatul Kursi and then the last 3 ayats of Surah e Baqarah, will not be inflicted with any kind of difficulty in his wealth or himself, Satan will not come near him and he will not forget the Qur'an.

The Holy Prophet (saw) said: Qur'an is a great word, and Surah Baqarah is the leader of the Qur'an and Ayatul Kursi is the leader of Surae Baqarah. In Ayatul Kursi there are 50 words and for each word there are 50 blessings and good in it. 

 To increase light or vision (noor) in the eyes, recite Surae Alhamd once, then Ayatul Kursi and then once the following dua:- "U-eedhu nora basaree binuril lahi alladhi la yutfaa", "I seek refuge for the light of my eyes by the light of Allah(SWT), which does not become extinguished". 

Hazrat A'isha (RA) states that a person arrived in the court of Rasulallah (SAW) and complained that there is no Barakat (Blessings) in anything in his home. Rasulallah (SAW) said, “You do not recite Ayatul Kursi, whichever Food and Curry you will recite Ayatul Kursi on, Allah will give Blessings on that Food and Curry.

One who recites Ayatul Kursi every morning will be in the protection, safety of Allah until the night.

One who recites Ayatul Kursi every night before go to sleep will be in the protection, safety of Allah until morning.

If a person write Ayatul Kursi on white paper and ties this to chidren neck, they will be safe from Shaitaan.

For those of our dear ones who have passed away, recitation of Ayatul Kursi & giving it as Hadiya to them, gives them light (noor) in the grave.

Frequent recitation makes ones own death easy.

Before leaving home, if one recites it once, the Almighty has one group of Angels to come and protect you. If recited twice, 2 groups of Angels are assigned to do this. If recited 3 times Allah tells the Angels not to worry as the Almighty himself takes care of him. 

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has said: If one recites Ayatul Kursi before going to sleep, Allah will send an Angel to come and look after you and protect you till the morning. His home, family and also neighbours will remain in safety until morning.

When one is alone in the home, recitation of Ayatul Kursi and asking Allah to help will make you remain calm and you will not fear.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has said: When leaving home, if one recites Ayat ul Kursi the Allah will send 70,000 Angels to do Istighfaar for him until he returns home, and upon his return Poverty will be removed from him.

One who recites it after every prayer, their salaat will be accepted, they will remain in the safety of the Almighty and He will protect them.

Transliteration: Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Allahu la ilaha illa Huwa, Al-Haiyul-Qaiyum La ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm, lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-'ard Man dhal-ladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi-idhnihi Ya'lamu ma baina aidihim wa ma khalfahum, wa la yuhituna bi shai'im-min 'ilmihi illa bima sha'a Wasi'a kursiyuhus-samawati wal ard, wa la ya'uduhu hifdhuhuma Wa Huwal 'Aliyul-Adheem.

Translation: In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Benefits of Surat Al-Ikhlas

This surah is one third of the holy Qauran. This surah was revealed in Makkah and it has 4 verses. Reciting (Qul Huwa Allaahu Ahad) brings a reward equivalent to reciting one-third of the Qur’aan, but it does not take the place of reading one-third of the Qur’aan.

It is narrated that if a person does not recite this Surah in any of his five daily prayers, it is as if he has not prayed. In fact, if a person does not recite this Surah in any of his prayers for seven consecutive days, and he dies, it will be as if he died while following the religion of Abu Lahab.

Surah al-ikhlas is a means of forgiveness of sins. the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "whoever reads surat qul hu-wallaahu 'ahad every day two hundred times, allah will grant him one thousand five hundred rewards and will erase from him the sins of fifty years, unless he has debts."

The Holy prophet (S.A.W) once advised a poor person to always say 'Salaam' when entering his house even if there was nobody there and then recite Surah At Tawheed, after a little while the man became abundantly wealthy.

When a person goes to see a unjust man in authority, he should recite this Surah 3 times and close the fist and opne the fist when the interview is finished.

If this Surah is recited over the eyes of a man suffering eye sore he would be cured.

It is makruh to recite this Surah in one breath. This Surah has numerous other benefits and is a cure for many ailments. It should be recited when travelling or when facing a tyrant ruler.

Who recites Surah Al-Ikhlas 100 times, all his past sins for the past 25years are forgiven.

It is a fortress for protection against every kind of affliction and calamity.

Whoever recites this Surah 1000 times, will not die unless he sees his place in Jannah.

Who recites this surah a hundred times before go to sleep Allah would forgive his sins comitted in forty years.

If this surah is recited over the eyes of a man suffering eye-sore he would be cured.

Who does not recite this surah in any of the five salats in a day all his five salats would go waste, rendered null and void.

When the Holy Prophet prayed the funeral salat of Sad bin Maz, seventy thousand angels were praying with him including Jibrail, because Sad used to recite this surah very much, sitting, standing, walking, riding, all the time.

Who recites this surah ten times while passing by a graveyard for those believers buried therein, would earn reward equal the number of buried believers.

When a person goes to see an unjust man-in-authority, he recite this surah 3 times, close the fist and open it when the interview is finished.

Transliteration: Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Qul Hu-walaahu 'Ahad. 'Allahus-Samad;. Lam yalid, wa lam yuulad;. Walam yakul-la-Huu kufuwan 'ahad.

Translation: In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Say, "He is Allah , [who is] One, Allah , the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

Benefits of Surat An-Nas

Surah An-Nas was revealed in Madinah and it has 6 verses. Narrated by Aishah  (RD): Whenever Allah’s Messenger (saw) went to bed, he used to recite Surah AL- Ikhlas (112), Surah AL-Falkaq (113) and surah An-Nas (114), and then blow on his palms and pass them over his face and those parts of its body that his hands could reach. And when he fell ill, he used to order me to do like that for him.

Surah an-Naas and al-Falaq are together called Ma’udhatayn and whoever recites this Surah in his house every night, will be kept safe from Jinnaat and the evil designs of Shaitan.

If this Surah is put around the neck of a child as a talisman, the child will be protected from Jinnat. Reciting the Ma’udhatayn before sleeping is a means of safety and if recited on any part of the body that is paining, the pain will be relieved.

A’isha (radiAllahu anha) reported that whenever the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) became sick, he would recite Mu’awwidhat (Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas) and then blow his breath over his body. When he became seriously ill, I used to recite (these two Surahs) and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings.

‘Uqbah Ibn ‘Amir (radiAllahu anhu) reported that the messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said ‘No seeker of refuge can seek refuge with anything like these two’

Transliteration: Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Qul 'a-'uuzu bi Rabbin Naas,.  Malikin-Naas,. 'Illahin-Naas,. Min-sharril Waswaasil khan Nass,. 'Allazii yuwas-wisu fii suduurin Naasi,. Minal-Jinnati wan Naas.

Translation: In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, The Sovereign of mankind. The God of mankind, From the evil of the retreating whisperer - Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind - From among the jinn and mankind."

Benefits of Surat Al-Falaq

This Surah was revealed in Madinah and it has 5 verses. It is narrated from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that whoever recites Surah Al-Falaq in the month of Ramadan in any of his prayers, it is as if he has fasted in Makkah and he will get the reward for performing Hajj and ‘Umra. Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (a.s.) said that in the prayer of Shafa’a (in Salaatul-layl) one should recite Surah al-Falaq in the first rak’aat and an-Naas in the second.

Reciting of this Surah in compulsory prayers keeps a person safe from poverty and Sustenance comes towards him. His death will not be of a sudden and terrifying nature. This Surah has excelent cure for magic effects, pain in the eyes and should be recited before blowing gently into the eyes for relief from pain. Keeping this Surah in a talisman around one’s neck acts as a protection from the ‘evil eye’. This Surah remove magic effects very quickly.

Transliteration: Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Qul 'a-'uuzu bi-Rabbil-Falaq,. Min-sharri maa khalaq;. Wa min-sharri gaasiqin 'izaa waqab,. Wa min-sharrin Naffaasaati fil 'uqad,. Wa min-sharri haasidin 'izaa hasad.

Translation: In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, From the evil of that which He created, And from the evil of darkness when it settles, And from the evil of the blowers in knots, And from the evil of an envier when he envies.

Benefits of Surat Al-Kafirun

Surah Al-Kafirun is ‘makki’ and has 6 verses. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said that reciting this Surah carries the reward of reciting a quarter of the Holy Qur’an. The recitation of this Surah drives away evil and keeps one safe from Shirk. 

It is also among the five Surahs that have been recommended to be recited during a journey, the others being Surah Al-Fatihah, An-Nasr, Al-Falaq and An-Naas. Reciting Surah Al-Kafirun and at-Tawhid in compulsory prayers is a means for forgiveness of sins for the reciter, his parents and his children. If a person dies after reciting this Surah, it is as if he has died a martyr. Recitation of this Surah before sleeping keeps one safe the whole night.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, ‘Recite surah al Kafirun and then go to sleep after coming to its end, for it is a clearance from shirk’ If recited on a treasure, it remains safe. If a person has many creditors, recitation of this Surah will help clear his debts. If recited by a person in fear, this Surah brings him to safety; if recited by a hungry person, it helps in his finding sustenance; if recited by a thirsty person, his thirst will be quenched.

Transliteration: Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim Qul ya ayyuha al-kafiruna. La a'budu ma ta'buduna. Wa-la ''antum 'abiduna ma a'budu. Wa-la ''ana 'abidunm ma 'abadtum. Wa-la ''antum 'abiduna ma a'budu. Lakum dinukum wa-liya dini.

Translation: In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Say, "O disbelievers, I do not worship what you worship. Nor are you worshippers of what I worship. Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship. Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship. For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."

Ahad Nama

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has said: “The one who recite Ahad Nama regularly and seeks forgiveness from Allah. Allah will count that person among those whose Du’a is accepted.” Recitation of these verses increases sustenance and protects the life and possessions of the reciter. He is liked by people. Ahad Nama also makes a person chaste, humble and sincere. Drinking water in which this Surah has been written keeps the heart safe from ailments. "Whoever recites Ahad Naamah one in his lifetime, he will be taken away with Imaan [true faith] in his heart."And Rasulullah Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim says that he guarantees that this person will go to Jannah [Paradise].

If a person recites Ahad naamah regularly, he or she reap the following benefits: Secures Allah’s pleasure, Drives Shaytaan away, Increases one’s livelihood, Lights up the grave and Provides comfortable bedding in the grave, Helps answering with ease the questioning of Munkar and Nakir in the grave, Provides shelter on the Day of Judgment, Crowns one on the Day of Reckoning, Gets Allah’s pardon on the Day of Judgment, Increases the weight of good deeds on the scale, Helps one crossing the Bridge of “Siraat” without any difficulty,

Transliteration: Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Allahumma Faatiras Samaawaati Wal Ardhi Aalimalghaybi Wash shahaadati Antar Rahmaanur Raheem. Allahumma Inni Aahadu Ilayka Fihaazihil Hayaatiddunyaa Wa Ash Hadu Allaailaaha Illa Anta Wahdaka Laasharika Laka Wa Ash Hadu Anna Muhammadan Abduka Wa Rasuluka Falaa Takilni Ilaa Nafsi FaInnaka In,

Translation: In the Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful O Allah! The Creator of the skies and the earth The Knower of the hidden and the open Your are The Beneficent, The Merciful O Allah! I promise you in this earthly life and I bear witness that that there is no one worthy of worship except You are One & Only without any partner and I bear witness that Sayyidina Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam is Your servant and Your Messenger (O Allah!) Please do not leave me to my own self,

 Transliteration: Takilni Ilaa Nafsi Tuqarribni Ilash Sharri Watubaa Idnee Minal Khayri Wa Inni Laa Attakilo Illa Birahmatika Faj Alli Indaka Ahadan Tuwaffihi Ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamati Innaka Laa Tukhlifulmiyaad. Wa Sallallaahu Ta’alaa Alaa Khayri Khalqihi Muhammadinw Wa Aalihi Wa As-haabihi Aajmain. Birahmatika Yaa Arhamar Raahimeen. Lawlaa Izdakhalta Jannataka Qulta Maashaaa Allahu Laahawla Walaa Quwwata Illa Billah.

Translation: Because if You abandon me to my own desires I might be drawn towards evil and away from goodness and I have no support except Your Mercy So accept my promise with You to be kept till the Day of Judgement Truly, You never break a promise And may the blessings of Allah, The Exalted be on his best creation Sayyidina Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam and on his family and all companions (O Allah! Accept this prayer) With Your Mercy, O The Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

Dua Syed-ul-istighfar

Tawba must be sort and remains wajib (necessary) for every sin committed. In  the case of istigfar (seeking forgiveness), a person is making a request to Allah (SWT) to help their deeds function as a barrier towards future evil. In essence, the individual is asking Allah (SWT) for guidance away from wrongful choices. Istigfar with the words of ‘astagfirullah’ coupled with sincerity helps in this regards.  Thus, ‘astagfaar’ functions like a duaa. Thus, it can be appropriately stated: refusal to make istigfar is tantamount to arrogance. For one is acting confidant regarding the unknown future actions of themselves.

The Prophet (SAW) was asked by some of his companions: “Is Allah near so we invoke him or is he far so we call him? So Allah revealed this verse, – Allah is near He can hear the supplicant anytime anywhere and respond to him if the supplicant invokes Allah with a sincere heart and avoid interdiction's of supplication.

When a person sins and does not do Tawba, his heart darkens (polluted) as he commits more and more sins the dirt accumulates on his heart. It then becomes a vicious circle, the darkening of the heart leads to further sins, and the sins lead to further darkening of the heart. A stage is finally reached when his heart is irreversibly polluted and cannot be cleansed. Such a heart is referred to in narrations as a black heart.

“The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was reciting Istighfar hundred times a day and was praying for his Maghfirat (salvation) though he had not committed a single sin.” Hazrat Luqmān tells his son, “My dear son! Is not the cock wiser than you? It wakes up before dawn and asks forgiveness but you remain asleep!”

Transliteration: Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana 'ala ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, A'udhu bika min Sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u Laka bini'matika 'alaiya, wa Abu'u Laka bidhanbi faghfirli fainnahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta.

Translation: In the Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful (O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.)

Dua-e-Aman

Dua Aman is very helpful for a person who recites it daily between Maghrib and Isha Prayers.(for Safety and Protection) A person in his dream saw the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) very sad and the person ask him the reason of sadness and he said: that during Mehraj he saw many believers being led towards hell and the reason was Iman. His umma was very weak in their Iman and He recommended this Dua for protection of his umma and it will help them in the world, after death and also in the Barzak (resurrection). This Dua is recommended by the Prophet.

Transliteration: Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim Allahuma Farijna Bedu-khulil qabri Wakhtimlana Bil-khayri Wazafri Waghfirlana Wali-walidaina Walijamel Momenea Wal-momenate Wal-Muslemena Wal-muslemati Wasalehena Wasalehati Birehmatika Ya-arhamar Rahemeen. Wa-salalahu Taalla-ala Muhammaden Wa-ala Alahi Ajmaen.

Dua-e-Hajat

This dua be prayed during any of the 5 obligatory prayers or its sunnahs, or is it only meant to be prayed while you have made an intention to pray 2 rakat salatul hajat.also can salatul hajat be prayed in a mosque straight after one of the 5 obligatory prayers for example, after praying 4 rakat fardh and 2 rakat  sunnah of zuhr prayer.

One who always reads this Dua after each Salah(prayer), especially after Juma’a(Friday’s Prayer), Allah almighty will save him/her from each and every thing of fear/terror/dread. And will help him/her over his/her enemies, And will make him/her rich/wealthy And will give/provide him/her Earnings(rizq) from such place what he/she can’t imagine/think of. And will simplify his/her life on him/her, And will arrange his/her loan, even if it is huge/big like a mountain, Allah Almighty will arrange it by his grace(Fazl) & generosity(karam).

Transliteration: La ilaha illa Allahu-Haleemu lkareem. Subhana Allahi rabi el-`arshil `azeem. Al-Hamdulilahi rabbi il-`Alameen. As'aluka mujibati rahmatika, wa `aza'ima maghfiratika, wal-`ismata min kuli dhanb, wal ghaneemata min kuli birr, was-salamata min kuli ithm. La tada` li dhanban illa ghafartahu, wala hamman illa farajtahu, wala hajatan hiya laka ridan illa qadaytaha ya arhama ar-rahimeen.

Translation: There is no god but Allah, the Ever-Clement, the Most Generous. I celebrate the Glory of Allah, the Lord of the Magnificent Throne. All praise and thanks are due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. I beseech you, seeking that which will draw me closer to Your mercy, and that which will make certain for me Your Forgiveness. O Allah, grant me protection against any sin, and a share of every virtue. Do not leave me a sin without forgiving it, a worry without relieving me of it, or a need that meets with Your pleasure without providing for it, O Most Merciful Lord.
