Indeed Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet; O People who Believe! Send blessings and abundant salutations upon him. Al-Ahzab - The Allies - 33:56 (Sura: 33, Verse: 56)

Promises of Allah in Quran

A promise is a declaration or an assurance that one will do something or that a particular thing will happen. Allah Almighty is the creator of this world. Allah has revealed a Holy Book Quran for all mankind. Quran is the book of guidance for all mankind. Allah (SWT) spoke of His creation through Quran. Quran has its unique style of narration or we can say the style of Allah’s narration. In Quran, Allah has committed promises to His believers and we all know Allah does not break His promises. You can read about all these Allah promises in Quran with translation and transliteration on your smartphone, you can download it from the links provided below:

                               allah swt to the believers
When we read Quran with understanding then we will be able to understand what Allah (SWT) committed to us His believers. In our daily life routine, we like those people who fulfill their promises and we regard them as most respectable people. Allah promises His believers of many good things as a result of their faith and righteousness. Anyone who has a complete faith in the religion of Islam knows that Allah`s guarantee never fails: if one cannot get the said return in this world, it would be given in the life hereafter.

Allah (SWT) did promises to His believers in Quran and surely He will fulfill these promises because He does not break His commitments. If we want to get blessings from Almighty Allah then we should also do righteous deeds. Some of the promises of Allah are mentioned below:

1. A Good Life:

Believers face many difficulties in their life we can’t think they have a very good life. But the believers who are possibly going through suffering, Allah is giving them a feeling in their heart that could not be bought with the wealth of this worldly life. Due to this satisfaction believers have more faith in their Creator Allah Almighty. Allah says in Quran
“Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a new Life, a life that is good and pure and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions.” (Quran 16:97)
Because of the difficulty, the believers go through and the patience they show Allah gives them something in their hearts that cannot be described with words.

2. Forgiveness:

Always try to do righteous deeds for pleasing Allah (SWT). As Allah (SWT) promised to His believers about forgiveness. He also promised of great reward and we can’t even imagine how great this reward would be.
“To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness has Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward.” (Quran, 5:9)
So we all should do good deeds for the sake of Allah’s forgiveness.

3. Remembrance:

Allah Almighty says in Quran:
“So remember me, I will remember you.” (Quran 2:152).
Allah promises his believers that if they will remember Him, He will also remember them. Allah Almighty surely fulfills His commitments.

4. Protection:

Allah promises to His believers that He will protect them from any kind of difficulty or problem. We all should know no one is greater saver than Him. Allah says in Quran:
“Verily Allah will defend (from ill) those who believe, verily, Allah loves not any that is a traitor to faith or shows ingratitude.” (Quran 22:38)
Allah Almighty will protect believers.

5. Guidance:

Allah (SWT) says in Quran to His believers
“Those who believe, and work righteousness, their Lord will guide them because of their faith, beneath them will flow rivers in gardens of bliss.”  (Quran, 10:9)
Every day we ask Allah (SWT) for guidance in our salah. We should pray our salah regularly on time and should do good deeds. If Allah (SWT) didn’t accept dua of ours, He is guiding us to something better or delaying it for a later date to strengthen us in faith. We should always believe in Almighty Allah at every cost.

6. Kindness:

Allah Almighty is very generous, kindhearted and benevolent. He will show mercy to His believers. No matter you are in what situation whether its shortage of money, illness, business crises and other situation related to it, Allah (SWT) has a solution to all your problems. Allah says in Quran
“If you are grateful, I will surely increase you.” (Quran, Surah Ibrahim: verse 7)

7. Protection from Shaitaan:

Shaitaan is very strong and experienced more than we know; we can’t defeat him without getting help from Almighty Allah.  Allah says in Quran
“No authority has he (i.e. Shaitaan) over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord.” (Quran, 16:99)
Allah has given us many weapons to defeat the Shaitaan. A believer should use these weapons that Allah has given him. For example, Ayat-ul-Kursi which is recited before going to sleep and on other occasions. Put your trust fully in Allah (SWT) and know with certainty that Allah (SWT) has something better planned for you.

8. Paradise:

The ultimate promise of Allah (SWT) to His believers is Jannah. All our deeds and actions in this world should bring us closer to Allah (SWT) and earn Jannah. If our deeds and actions are not bringing us closer to Allah (SWT) then we need to re-evaluate our lives, purify our intentions, and seek Allah’s forgiveness and His mercy. Allah says in Quran
“Give glad tidings to those who believe and work righteousness, that their portion is Gardens, beneath which rivers flow. Every time they are fed with fruits therein, they say: “Why, this is what we were fed with before,” for they are given things in similitude; and they have therein companions pure (and holy), and they abide therein (forever).”(Quran, 2:25)
The promise of Paradise is sufficient and is, in fact, more than what we deserve. However one has to earn this, as the product of Allah, i.e. Paradise is not cheap.
These are some of the many promises of Allah Almighty to His believers which we can benefit from by following our faith and religious responsibilities apologetically. Indeed, His assurance is the most rightful of all the affirmation.
6 Promises of Allah Almighty to the Believers
No society can survive and move forward without the much needed conviction and reliance among its inhabitants. This hope bounds them together, and enhances their cooperation. But where does this mutual trust come from? It develops through fulfilling commitments and being truthful in relationships. Nobody likes and approves person who is known to be a customary fraud. On the other hand, one who always completes its pledge is regarded as the most respectable person amongst people.
Since, adhering to oaths is a great virtue, Allah Almighty Himself promises His believers of many good things as a result of their faith and righteousness. Anyone who has a complete conviction in the religion of Islam, knows that God`s guarantee never fails: if one cannot get the said return in this world, it would be given in hereafter.
Allah to believers
Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.” [Quran, 31: 9]
Hence, there is no doubt that The Glorious One`s assurance is based on reality, and He has constantly reminded His followers of this fact in the Holy Quran as seen in the above verse. While there are unlimited rewards and benefits of the Gracious Lord for the faithful Muslims, which we cannot even think about, but according to Furqan e Hameed, here are 25 guarantees of Allah SWT to His believers:
  1. Reward for Steadfastness and Patience
There come some unwanted moments in life, where a person becomes pessimist, and loses faith in God. Hardships are part of everyone`s life, but those remain resolute in their attitude towards terrible period of time and have full confidence in Allah as being the Ultimate Power, will always get rewarded for their endurance and determination in the way of truth.

promise of Allah
But, We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars. [Quran, 29: 3]
The above stated Ayah Kareema shows that true Muslims will always be analyzed for their belief in Allah, Who will eventually make everything reasonable for them by differentiating them from the liars, for their truthfulness and persistence during the time of adversity. So, we should not tremble in such instances; rather maintain our belief in the Immortal Lord to get His bounties.
  1. Provision of Blessings
The demise of the present day Muslims is down to their ignorance and overlooking of what they claim to believe in. Every Prophet, while spreading the word of Allah, used to convince them by not only telling them about the worst punishments as a result of worshiping idols and practicing iniquity, but also inform them about the great things from God in case of embracing and holding onto their teachings. The ones who have believed in their sayings became prominent in the sight of Allah and are blessed forever, while the disbelievers get severe punishments.
6 promise
“And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning.” [Quran, 7: 96]
So, Allah Almighty says that if all the past civilizations had hold onto whatever His Messengers told them to do; they would be granted superior possessions from the Gracious Lord, Himself. But they were destroyed for their disobedience. Therefore, as long as we remain on the right path, and adhere to Islamic lessons, we will be eligible for getting blessings from Allah Almighty.
  1. Getting Allah`s Guidance
No matter how much qualified we are, most of us need assistance at some time of life. Just like one cannot see in the dark, sometimes, it feels like one is helpless and needs somebody`s advice. Same is the case with believers, who cannot just rely on having accepted Islam and Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as the last Messenger of Allah, rather they have to constantly seek the Almighty`s supervision and His enlightenment to ease through hard times.
“And from wherever you go out [for prayer], turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] may be, turn your faces toward it in order that the people will not have any argument against you, except for those of them who commit wrong; so fear them not but fear Me. And [it is] so I may complete My favor upon you and that you may be guided.” [Quran, 2: 150]
The previously mentioned Quranic verse indicates that Allah has promised His favor for those who pray to Him, and fear Him alone, which leads towards His decisive direction for the dutiful followers. So, providing that we remain committed to seeking help from only the Glorified God, we will always remain under His custody, and that is enough for the true Muslims.
  1. Protection from Satan
Majority of us get lazy during prayers and other religious acts, which is all down to our ignorance of the fact that Shaitaan (Satan) has enough powers to tempt anyone towards wickedness, which is why we are advised to seek protection from Satan`s evil before the start of any action by reciting
“A’udhu billahi min ash-shaytaan-ir-rajeem” that actually means “I seek refuge in Allah SWT from the accursed Shaitaan”. And believers are guaranteed to be free of its malevolence influence.
“Indeed, there is for him (Shaitaan) no authority over those who have believed and rely upon their Lord.” [Quran, 16: 99]
It means whoever puts its complete trust in Allah, there is no way that Satan can ever get the better of such person. So, we should not be careless in this matter, and seek defense from its malice in whatever we do through constant relying and calling for Allah`s help only.
  1. Return for Every Rightful Effort
We Muslims offer prayers and recite the Holy Quran in the month of Ramadan so that we could be blessed with Allah`s bounties, as in this month, one Salah is equal to Ajar (blessing) of praying 70 times in normal day. It only shows that we look at the larger picture only, and disregard things which are less beneficial to us. That is not the nature of a true Muslim`s character, rather every good deed is equally important, for small actions lead to bigger acts, which eventually become the core of one`s heart and soul.

                           6 promise to believers
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of any who did well in deeds. [Quran, 18: 30]
These lines from Furqan e Hameed clearly inform the believers that they will be rewarded for each and every virtuous deed that they have been doing on earth for the sake of Allah Almighty. So, we should not let go any of the chances to committing moral actions by considering them little in magnitude, for there is no discrimination with the Gracious God among the good deeds of the believers.
  1. Entrance into Jannah (Paradise)
A true Muslim has absolute faith in the Day of Judgment, and knows that all the hardships in the world eventually lead to completion of its eternal dream of entering paradise in hereafter. When one thinks about the pleasures of Jannah, the worldly delights seem to be irrelevant. That is why, a believer in the religion of peace gives away everything it has in the way of Allah Almighty in a view to be successful on the Final Day and go into the Garden of the gardens.
                      believers and the 6 promises

“Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur’an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment.” [Quran, 9: 111]
This Quranic verse tells us that Allah SWT has promised its followers a great place in paradise, if they remain true to their obligations in His way and fight for a noble cause. So, we should take the opportunity to remain faithful to our religious commitments, for the Dignified Lord has assured us of gaining the ultimate prize in the form of entering paradise in return of our righteous services.
These are some of the many promises of Allah Almighty to His believers which we can benefit from by following our faith and religious responsibilities submissively. Verily, His assurance is the most rightful of all the assertions.

ZIKR OF ALLAH

So what is Zikr? Sounds like a cool word. Zikr, looks pretty neat in Arabic script.

Zikr, according to the book Fiqh-Us-Sunnah by Sheik Sayyed As Sabeeq, mentions that, "All words of praise and glory to Allah, extolling His Perfect Attributes of Power and Majesty, Beauty and Sublimeness, whether one utters them by tongue or says them silently in one's heart, are known as Zikr or remembrance of Allah."

Allah is so great, every time I see the glittering stars in the sky, resembling diamonds and pearls, I call to mind the greatness of Allah. Every time I see the various creatures Allah has created I reflect upon the greatness of Allah, the rainbow-colored parrots in the Amazon Forest, the birds how they soar so high in the sky only by the will of Allah.

I have been given the chance to be able to work for Paradise, shelter and clothing, having a mother and father, the ability to communicate with relatives and friends across the world using e-mail, and the greatest blessing- the religion Allah has chosen for me, Islam!

These are just some of the things Allah has blessed me with, and if I were to try and name and count all of them, it would impossible. Just take a moment, try to name all the blessings Allah has bestowed on you, and you will know what I mean.

Don't you agree that remembering Allah is the least you could do in order to acknowledge the gifts and blessings He has bestowed you with?

Remembering Allah is the foundation of good deeds. The more we remember Allah, the closer we will get to Him. You can see that our greatest example, Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him), used to remember Allah at all times. So you know Zikr is good, but what do you get in return for remembering Allah?

"Verily, the Muslims (those who submit to Allah in Islam) men and women... (up to)... And the men and the women who remember Allah much with their hearts and tongues. Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e., Jannah).' (33:35)

The difference between the one who makes Zikr and the one who does not is well explained in this Hadith. Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet said, "The similitude of one who remembers his Lord and one who does not remember Him, is like that of the living and the dead.' (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

All right, so we know what Zikr means and why we should do it. Here are some more specific things we can say to remember Allah.

Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet said, "I love repeating Subhan Allah , Walhamdu lillah , wa La ilaha ill-Allah, wa Allahu Akbar (Glorified is Allah, all praise is due to Allah, and there is no God but Allah, Allah is the greatest) more than all that the sun shines upon.' (Muslim and Tirmidhi).

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "He who recites after every prayer: Subhan Allah (Allah is free from imperfection) 33 times; Alhamdu lillah (praise be to Allah) 33 times; Allahu Akbar (Allah is Greatest) 33 times; and completes the hundred with: La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli shai'in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent), will have all his sins pardoned even if they may be as large as the foam on the surface of the sea.' (Muslim).

So, next time you're waiting for a bus or walking to school, remember to think about the greatness of Allah. "And remember Allah much, that you may be successful.' (62:10).

Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Rasool Allah ﷺ said,
“Should I not tell you of such a thinga which are the best and purest deeds in the court of your Lord, high in ranks (darajat), better for you then spending gold and silver (in Allah’s path), and better than slaying the neck of the enemy during war? The Sahaba said, “Yes, Oh Rasool Allah !”  He  said,“It is Zikr of Allah.” (Tirmizi)
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Rasool Allah ﷺ said,
“Any gathering in which people sit and do not do Zikr of Allah and do not send Durood upon their Prophet is of loss for them. If Allah wills, give them azab (punishment) and if wills, forgive them.” (Tirmizi)
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Rasool Allah  ﷺsaid,
“Allah Tabaraka wa Ta’ala says when a person moves his lips for Zikr of Allah, I am with him.” (Bukhari)
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Rasool Allah ﷺ said,
“Allah Tabaraka wa Ta’ala says I am closer to my slave than his supposition of which he keeps of me. And when he/her does Zikr of Allah, I am with him/her. If he does Zikr in his heart, I do his Zikr near MY proximity (closeness) and if he does Zikr in a gathering, I mention him in a gathering Afdhal (better) than it. (Bukhari)
Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Rasool Allah ﷺ said, “He/She who does Zikr of Allah and he/she who doesn’t, their example is of like an alive and a dead.” (Bukhari)
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said that Rasool Allah ﷺ said,
“The angels look for those who do Zikr of Allah on the paths. When they find those who are doing Zikr of Allah then they call each other, “Come, your desired has been found.” Then those angels cover those are doing Zikr of Allah up to the skies of this world with their wings. And Allah Rabbul Izzat says about them to those angels “What are my slave doing?” Though Allah knows more than those angels. The angels say, “Those people are doing your Tasbeeh, Tahmeed, and Tamjeed.” Allah says, “Have they seen me?” The angels say, “We swear by your pure Entity, they have not seen you.” Rab Ta’ala says to them, “If they had seen me then what would be their state?” The angels say, “If they could’ve seen you then they would do your Tamjeed and your Tasbeeh even more."
Allah says, “What slaves are asking from me?” The angels say, “They are asking for Jannat from you.” Allah says, “Have they seen Jannat?” The angels say, “We swear by Your Pure Entity, they have not seen Jannat.” Allah says, “If they had seen Jannat then what would be their state?” The angels say, “If these people had seen jannat then their greed, desire, and inclination for it would increase. Allah says, “What else are they doing?” The angels say, “They are seeking refuge.” Allah says, “From what are they seeking refuge?” The angels say, “They are seeking refuge from Hell.” Allah says, “Have they seen Hell?” The angels say, “Oh Rabbi, we swear by Your Pure Entity, they have not seen it.” Allah says, “If they had seen it then what would be their state?” The angels say, “If they had seen it then they would run even further away from it and fear it even more.
Allah says, “angels, Be witnesses that I have forgiven them.” An angel says, “There is one person amongst them who is not part of those who do Zikr, he is there for some necessity of his/her.” Allah says, “These are such people that even those sitting among them are not deprived.” (Bukhari)
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Rasool Allah ﷺ said,
“When you pass by gardens of paradise, eat fruits of them. The Sahaba said, “What are the gardens of Paradise?” He  said,
“The gatherings of Zikr.” (Tirmizi)
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said that Rasool Allah ﷺ said,
“Whenever a Jama'at (a group of people) sits for Zikr of Allah, the angels surround it. Blessing covers that Jama'at. And peace and calm descends on them. And Allah mentions them to the angels present in HIS court.” (Muslim)
Ameer Muaviah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Rasool Allah ﷺ passed by a Jama'at and asked them,
“Why have you gathered here?” Some people of the Jammat replied,
“We have gathered here for the Zikr and Hamd of Allah because by guiding us towards Islam He did favor on us.” Rasool Allah ﷺ said, “By Allah, have you gathered only for this (purpose)?” They said,
“By Allah, we have gathered here only for such purpose.”
Rasool Allah ﷺ said,
“I did not give you oath because of any imputation (doubt) rather it is because Jibraeel came to me and told me that Allah boasts of you in the gathering of the angels.” (Muslim)
Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Rasool Allah ﷺ said,
“The Shaitan sticks to the heart of the child of Adam. When he does Zikr of Allah, he (the Shaitan) runs away from him. And when the child of Adam becomes careless from the Zikr of Allah, the Shaitan begins to put was-wasah (evil suggestions) into his heart.” (Bukhari)
Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Rasool Allah ﷺ said,“Don’t have a conversation [without] Zikr of Allah. Because talking too much without Zikr of Allah is the reason for the heart’s hardness and wretchedness. And that person becomes distant from Allah in whose heart there is wretchedness.” (Tirmizi)
Abudullah Bin Bisr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that one person asked, “Ya Rasool Allah !  There are many commands on me of Islam. Tell me of such a thing which I may hold on to steadfast.”Rasool Allah ﷺ replied, “Always keep your tongue wet from Zikr of Allah.” (Tirmizi)
Abdullah Bin Bisr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a villager came to the Holy Court of Rasool Allah ﷺ and asked,
“Which man is the best?” Rasool Allah ﷺ said,
“It is the luck and good-fortune of that person whose life is long and his deeds are good.” He asked,
“Ya Rasool Allah !  Which deed is the best?” Rasool Allah ﷺ said,“Your tongue be wet from Zikr of Allah when you part from this world.” (Tirmizi)
Muaaz bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Rasool Allah ﷺ said,“The people of Jannat will only regret that moment which had been empty of Zikr of Allah.” (Beihaqi)

ELEVEN SIGNS OF LOVE FOR THE BELOVED PROPHET

Someone who claims that he/she loves another will prefer that person to all others, he will also prefer what they like, if it were otherwise then he would be acting and his love would not be sincere. The following signs will be apparent in those who truly love the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam,
First
The first sign of love for the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, is that he/she will follow his example, apply his prophetic way in words, deeds, obedience to his commands, avoidance of whatever he prohibited and adopt his manner in times of ease, hardship, joy and disappointment. Allah says,
”Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah , then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins.”[Aal Imran : 31]
Second
The second sign is that he/she will set aside his own desires and appetite in preference to the law established and encouraged by the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam. Allah says,
”Those before them who had made their dwelling in the abode (City of Medina), and because of their belief love those who have emigrated to them; they do not find any (envy) in their chests for what they have been given and prefer them above themselves, even though they themselves have a need.” [al Hashr : 9]
Third
The third sign is that a person’s anger of others is only for the sake of seeking the pleasure of Allah. Anas, Malik’s son was told by the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam,
”My son, if you can refrain from holding a grudge in your heart from morning to evening, then do so.” He then added, “My son, that is part of my prophetic way. Whosoever revives my way has loved me, and whosoever loves me is with me in the Garden.” [Sunan Tirmidh, Kitab al-Ilm, Vol. 4, Page 151]
If a person possesses this fine quality, then he/she has perfect love for Allah and His Messenger. If he is found to be slightly lacking in this quality then his love is imperfect, but not devoid of it. The proof of this is found in the saying of the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, when a person faced punishment for imbibing. As the person was about to receive his punishment a man cursed the offender, whereupon the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, said,
”Do not curse him. He loves Allah and His Messenger.”[Sahih Bukhari, Kitab al-Hudood, Vol. 3, Page 133]
Fourth
The fourth sign is that one mentions the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, in abundance – whosoever loves something, it is constantly upon his tongue. [Al Shifa bi Ta'reefi Huqooq al-Mustafa, Vol. 2, Page 32]
Fifth
The fifth sign is yearning to meet the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam. Every lover yearns to be with their beloved. When the tribe of Ash’arites approached Medina, they were heard chanting,
“Tomorrow, we will be with those we love, Muhammad and his Companions!” [Dalail an-Nabuwwah lil Bayhaqi, Vol. 5, Page 351]
Sixth
The sixth sign is that as well as the remembrance of the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, someone who loves him will be found praising and respecting him whenever he is mentioned and display humility, and lower himself when he hears his name. We are told by Isaac At -Tujibi that after the passing of the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, whenever the Companions heard his name they became humble, their skin trembled and they wept. As for the other followers of the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, some experienced the same out of love and yearning for him, whereas others did so out of respect and esteem. [Al Shifa bi Ta'reefi Huqooq al-Mustafa, Vol. 2, Page 33]

Seventh:
The seventh sign is the love expressed for the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, and the People of his House, and his Companions – the Emigrants (Muhajirun) and the Helpers (Ansar) alike for his sake. A person with this sign will be found hostile to those who hate them.
Of Al Hasan and Al Hussain, may Allah be pleased with them, the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, said, “O Allah, I love them, so please love them.”
Sahih Bukhari, Kitab al Manaqib, Vol. 5, Page 23
Sahih Muslim, Kitab al Fadhail, Vol. 4, Page 1883
Sunan Tirmidhi, Kitab al Manaqib, Vol. 5, Page 327
Al-Hasan said that the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, also said, “O Allah, I love him, so love the one who loves him.” Of his two grandsons, the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, also said, “Whosoever loves them, loves me.” Then he SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam said: “Whosoever loves me, loves Allah. Whosoever hates them hates me and whosoever hates me hates Allah.”
Muqaddam Sunan Ibn Maja, Vol. 1, Page 51
 Majma’ az-Zawaid, Vol. 9, Page 180
The Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, said,
”Do not make my companions targets after me! Whosoever loves them loves them it is because they love me, and whosoever hates them it is through their hatred of me. Whosoever harms them, harms me. Whosoever does something to hurt me does it is as if it is hurtful to Allah. Whosoever does something that appears to be hurtful to Allah is about to be seized.”
Sunan Tirmidhi, Kitab al Manaqib, Vol. 5, Page 358
Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 5, Page 54
Of his family, the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, said referring to Hadrat Fatima, may Allah be pleased with her, ”She is part of me, whosoever hates her hates me.”
Sahih al Bukhari, Kitab al Manaqib, Vol. 5, Page 24
Sahih Muslim, Kitab Fadhail as-Sahaba, Vol. 4, Page 1903
The Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, told Hadrat Ayesha to love Osama, Zaid’s son because he loves him. [Sunan Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Manaqib, Vol. 5, Page 342]
The Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, spoke of the Helpers (Ansar) saying,
“The sign of certain faith is love for the Ansar, whereas the sign of hypocrisy is hatred for them.”
Sahih al Bukhari, Kitab al Manaqib, Vol. 5, Page 27
Sahih al Bukhari, Kitab al Iman, Vol. 1, Page 9
Sahih Muslim, Kitab al Iman, Vol. 1, Page 85
Omar’s son tells us that the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, said, “Whosoever loves the Arabs loves them because he loves me. Whereas whosoever hates them hates them because of their hatred of me.” [Al Shifa bi Ta'reefi Huqooq al-Mustafa, Vol 2, Page 34]
The fact is when someone loves another, he loves everything that person loves, and this was indeed the case with the Companions. When Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) saw the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, eating a piece of pumpkin, he said, “From that day I loved pumpkins.”[Al Shifa bi Ta'reefi Huqooq al-Mustafa, Vol. 2, Page 34]
Al-Hasan, the grandson of the Prophet, may the peace of Allah be upon them, went with Jafar to Salma and asked her to prepare some food the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, used to eat. [Shamail Tirmidhi, Page 155]
Omar (may Allah be pleased with him) once saw the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, wearing a pair of yellow coloured sandals, so he too wore a pair of the same colour.
Sahih al Bukhari, Kitab al-Libas, Vol 7, Page 132
Sahih Muslim, Kitab al-Hajj, Vol 2, Page 844
Eighth
The eighth sign is hatred of anyone who hates Allah and His Messenger, praise and peace be upon him. Such people are those who show hostility towards to Allah and His Messenger. Believers having this sign avoid all who oppose the prophetic way, and are in opposition to those who introduce innovations into the prophetic way (that are against the spirit of Islam) and find the law he established burdensome. Allah says,  “You shall find no nation believing in Allah and the Last Day loving anyone that opposes Allah and His Messenger.” [al Mujadilah : 22]
Ninth
The ninth sign is found in those who love the Qur’an which the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, brought, by which the Prophet and they were guided. When asked about the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, Hadrat Ayesha, may Allah be pleased with her, said,  “His character was that of the Qur’an.” Part of the love of the Qur’an is listening to its recitation, acting according to it, understanding it, keeping within its bounds and the love of Prophet Muhammad’s way. [Al Shifa bi Ta'reefi Huqooq al-Mustafa, Vol. 2, Page 35]
Sahl, Abdullah’s son (may Allah be pleased with them) spoke of this sign saying,

“The sign of loving Allah is love of the Qur’an. The sign of loving the Qur’an is the love of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The sign of loving the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, is love of his prophetic way. The sign of loving the prophetic way is the love of the Hereafter. The sign of loving the Hereafter is hatred for this world. The sign of hatred for this world is that you do not amass any of it except for provisions and what you need to arrive safely with in the Hereafter.” [Al Shifa bi Ta'reefi Huqooq al-Mustafa, Vol. 2, Page 35]
Masood’s son (may Allah be pleased with him) said,
”No one needs to ask himself about anything other than the Qur’an, if he loves the Qur’an then he loves Allah and His Messenger” praise and peace be upon him.[Bayhaqi fil Aadaab, Page 522]
Tenth
The tenth sign of love for the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, is to have mercy on his nation by advising them well, striving for the betterment of their interest and removing anything that is harmful from them in the same way that the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, was “gentle and merciful to the believers.”[al-Taubah : 128]

Eleventh
The eleventh sign of perfect love is found in whosoever restricts himself through self-denial, preferring poverty to the attractions of the world. The Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, told Abu Sa’id Al Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), “Poverty for those of you who love me flows quicker than a flood from a mountain’s peak to its base.” [Sunan Tirmidhi, Kitab az-Zuhd, Vol. 4, Page 7]
A man came to the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, and said, “O Messenger of Allah peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I love you.” The Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam, warned, “Be careful of what you say.” The man repeat his love for him thrice, whereupon the Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam told him, “If you love me prepare yourself quickly for poverty.” [Sunan Tirmidhi, Kitab az-Zuhd, Vol. 4, Page 7]
